摘要：

The important role learning strategies play in language learning has been noted by the author because they are tools for active, self-directed involvement, which is essential for developing communicative competence. Learning strategies are divided into three types: metacognitive strategies, cognitive strategies, social-affective strategies. Some good language learning strategies are introduced in the paper. Some suggestions about successful learning strategies are given by the author.
