Pound's poem In a Station of a Metro is a masterpiece of imagism. Pound once talked about the energy in language, and American scholar Allen Tate told us that the meaning of poetry is its tension. Based on those two notions, this essay focuses on that how the tension in In a Station of a Metro presented and those tensions form harmony, fully releasing the energy in language in Pound's hand, enabling readers being fascinated for generations in that way.
