The news that China’s electronic information industry would carry out the Three Gold Projects received a strong response around the world, especially from the transnational companies engaged in telecommunications, computers and information networks. IBM, Unisys, Visa, Siemens, Intel, AT&T, Bell, Dell, NTT, NEC, 3COM and Fujitsu came to China to hold talks with potential clients and showed their products with a view to taking a share in this big market.
