摘要
Meiotic studies are conducted on 72 anther-derived haploid plants of the common wheat.Behaviours of chromosomes at each stage of meiosis, especially the distributions of bivalentsand univalents at metaphase Ⅰ and metaphase Ⅱ, are described. On the basis of the peculiarityof the meiotic chromosome behaviours in haploid PMCs, the following problems are discussed,the exchange between the homologous chromosomes, the mechanism of the arrangement of thechromosomes onto the equatorial plane and the cause of the secondary synapsis.
