摘要
<正> Some striking differences in relative polypeptide abundanceof crystallins were observed in normal and galactose-induced cataractouslenses of rat by means of SDS-PAGE.In the cataractous lenses aprominent band appeared at about 25 kDa and the αA chain increasedmarkedly, whereas the relative amount of the 31 kDa band decreasedsubstantially. These alterations are similar to the changes observed duringthe incubation of young mouse lenses in glucose-free medium.Eye Science1993;9:143-145.
