Jixian Thermal Power Project is sited at the geographi-cal and electrical load center of Beijing,Tianjin andTangshan three municipalities,occupying a total area of 315 hec-tares,in which 134 hectares are of power plant and constructionzone.According to the long term planning,the ultimate plant capacitywill be 2200 MW,while the capacity of the first phase is 1000 MWwith two 500 MW super critical steam parameter coal-fired thermalunits to be imported from Russia,these units rank first in both unit ca-pacity and steam parameter in Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan Power Net-work.This Project was approved by the State Planning Commissionin October 1989 with an estimate total construction cost of 2 billionyuan RMB,which is jointly financed by the State Energy Investment
