<正> Thirty-seven patients suffering from schizo-phrenia were observed:24 were treated with He-Nelaser irradiation of Yamen(Du 15)acupoint,and13 with the antipsychotic,chlorpromazine,as thecontrol group.Statistical analysis showed the cura-tive effect achieved in the laser group to be similarto that in the control group.Laboratory examina-tion in the laser group,which included routine urinetests,blood WBC and DC,liver function,and mic-ronucleated peripheral blood lymphocyte tests,wereall 'normal.Laser therapy showed few side effects.
