摘要
The UV-cured, nano-composite, transparent abrasion resistant coatingswere deposited in sol-gel method on the aeronautical organic(PMMA) glass substrate covered with magnetron sputtered indium-tin-oxides(ITO)films. The impacts of the synthesis conditions, including the recipe of sol, type of curing agent, and content of SiO2 nanoparticles, on the microstructures and mechanical properties of the abrasion resistant coatings were evaluated. The coatings were characterized with transmission electron microscopy, UV-Vis-NIR, spectroscopy, and conventional mechanical probe. Strong adhesion was found to exist at the organic/inorganic interface. The results show that the addition of silica nano-particles via chemical route significantly improves the mechanical properties of the coatings. For example, the SiO2 nanoparticles, homogenously dispersed in UV-curing, considerably improved the mechanical properties. With a content of 5% SiO2 nanoparticles(mass fraction)in the coating, its hardness could reach 3H; its wear resistance was 67% higher and its volume shrinkage ratio was 52% lower than those of the coatings without SiO2 nano-particles.
