A Novel Interoperable and Misalignment Tolerant Receiver for EV WPT Systems

摘要
In the wireless power transfer (WPT) system of electric vehicles (EV), the interoperability and misalignment of the coupling structure will lead to the reduction of charging efficiency. To solve the above problems, this paper proposes a novel receiver (Rx). The proposed structure superimposes a unipolar (Q) coil with a cross-shaped solenoid, thereby forming three magnetic field directions in the vertical direction, which is used to achieve interoperability and misalignment tolerance characteristics with Q and bipolar (DD) coils. By combining the proposed structure with the topological structure, the corresponding equivalent mutual inductance is formed. Subsequently, the interoperability performance and misalignment tolerance of the proposed structure were verified by building the corresponding experimental prototype. The experimental results show that for the Q coil, the output voltage fluctuation is 18.14%, while for the DD coil, the output voltage fluctuation in the y-axis is 21.69%.
