摘要
A 3D scanner was utilized to obtain the surface information of 3 kinds of open-graded asphalt friction course (OGFC) with different aggregate gradations in this study. The mean profile depth (MPD), peak number and arithmetic mean of peak curvature (Spc) were calculated. In addition, skid resistance performance of specimens was measured by the portable pendulum tes-ter to study the relationship between surface characteristic parameters and skid resistance. Results indicated that MPD increased with the coarseness increasing of the aggregate gradation. The total peak number of the OGFC surface increased by refining aggregate gradation. Meanwhile the distribution of peaks showed skewness in depth. However, the Spc was almost irrelevant with grading. With the increase of rainfall, the friction coefficient of OGFC might be reduced rapidly initially, and then slightly increased, and kept stable finally. In the rainfall conditions, the friction coefficient of specimens had a little correlation with MPD, while the number of peaks in shallow surface was believed to affect the friction coefficient more significantly. © 2017, Materials Review Magazine.
