摘要
SYNOPTIC ABSTRACT: In this article, the discrete version of a linear failure rate distribution is proposed. We study some of its distributional properties and reliability characteristics as well. This distribution has increasing hazard rate function. We estimate unknown model parameters using different methods of estimation like maximum likelihood, method of moments, proportions of zeros, and ones, proportion of zeros and moments. The performance of all the estimates is numerically studied using simulations. We illustrate applications of the proposed model in practice by analyzing two real data sets. © 2017 NIPER, Hajipur.
