摘要
Lack of U.S. federal legislation to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions related to concrete have led to various strategies being created to fill that void. Standards have been developed, local legislation has been enacted, and NGO challenges have been issued to limit or reduce the embodied carbon emissions of concrete used in the United States. Having participated in many of these efforts, the authors present the history of development of various strategies. They also give insight into what strategieswork best in which situations, with the goal of assisting other individuals who may face similar challenges to reducing the greenhouse gas emissions of concrete in their countries.
