摘要
A pin-diode integrated flexible multiband antenna for vehicle-to-everything (V2X) applications is presented in the following manuscript. By dynamically switching the pin diode states (and subsequently the surface current density), the radiation pattern and frequency can be reconfigured based on the user's need. The pin diodes are directly etched over the radiating patch and can be controlled by a cost-effective microprocessor. The proposed flexible antenna shows vertical bar S-11 vertical bar< - 10 dB bandwidth operation at 3.4 GHz - 3.8 GHz and 5.3 GHz - 8 GHz, encompassing commercially valuable 3.65 GHz (802.11y), 5.5 GHz WLAN, 5.8 GHz ISM, and 5.9 GHz V2X band. The proposed antenna is compared with previously suggested antenna designs by comparing frequency reconfigurability, compactness, conformance, and pattern diversity, and a comparison demonstrates the prospects of the proposed design.
