摘要
This paper aims to highlight the direction and review the evolution of research in financial stability from 1990s to 2023. In doing so, the paper highlights significant contexts in the domain of financial stability, the theoretical developments in this field as well as the major characteristics and methods that are explored. B-SLR being an integrative review, incorporates a blend of quantitative bibliometric analysis and qualitative systematic literature review using TCCM framework on 1559 documents to better understand the research domain. An exponential growth in the volume of papers written on this topic has been witnessed in the recent five years. A large portion of contribution comes from the USA and members of the EU, which are the developed regions, with an impressive collaboration among the nations. Theories like network theory, stakeholder theory, fraud theory, and other macroeconomic as well as financial theories have shaped the research. The study also identified five major characteristics examined broadly using secondary data by applying regression more rigorously in literature. Emerging research variables along with gaps that are gaining traction are also highlighted in the study.
