摘要
This paper proposes a novel method of fault location estimation based on analysis of voltage sag data of PQMS. Based on multi-source information fusion, fault position and fault resistance can be calculated with particle swarm optimization algorithm. Furthermore, a novel concept of fault influence area is proposed based on fault location estimation result. It can reflect area of consumers influenced by fault and provide data basis for maintaining secure and stable operation. Finally, two examples are given to demonstrate availability and accuracy of the method with MATLAB. The result shows that improvement of location estimation accuracy is achieved more effectively with improving measurement accuracy than with increasing number of PQ monitors. © 2016, Power System Technology Press.
