A simulation-based optimization method for logistics system

To solve the problems of resource waste and space limitation in the process of logistics system optimization, the system was analyzed with the key factor method for simulation optimization by taking the logistics system of waste reclaiming in manufacturing department as an example. A logistics system simulation model was established via a simulation software, data were collected for conducting the goodness of fit test to obtain the running rules of the simulated object, and determine the optimum simulation running cycle or times by the minimum confidence interval of running results. Via key factors screening with ANOVA and Pareto principle, and experimental indexes layering by combining with isolines, the optimal plan with the least resource input was determined. The results showed that according to the isolines drawn on the basis of key factors, number of AGV (Automatic Guided Vehicle) and the way of vehicle marshaling, the optimal index layer fell in the region of handling cycle less than 27.523 min, and the optimal plan was the plan with least resource input (6 AGVs, 1 case tipper, marshaling method No. 3) in that region. The established simulation model agrees with the facts, and gives accurate index data, the system is upgraded obviously and meets the requirements of lean logistics. ©, 2015, Editorial Office of Tobacco Science and Technology.
