The present work describes the study of the phenomenon of water eutrophication of dam Hammam Boughrara, located in the North West of Tlemcen wilaya (Algeria). The operation of 9 year period database related to 19 physico-chemical, chemical and biotic parameters has allowed us to determine: the evolution over time of each parameter; correlations between parameters and the degree of dam water eutrophication. The fight against the phenomenon of dam water eutrophication requires adequate management of pollutants. Thus, developing a mathematical model adapted to our site, to predict the concentrations of phosphorus from its charge and manage the algae proliferation by limiting nutrient concentrations, is an important contribution to this fight. © 2016, Springer International Publishing Switzerland.
