The emulsion stability of Shengli oilfield Chunliang crude oil and variation of droplet diameter were investigated by using LUMisizer in different conditions. At the same time, the influence of demulsifiers with different structures on the stability of emulsion was also explored. The results showed that the droplets with large diameter settled faster, which resulted in the higher transmission and larger droplet at the bottom of sample cell. The linear demulsifier BP01 had effective ability to destroy the crude emulsion at low mass fractions because of its strong adsorption at oil-water interface. On the stability of crude emulsion the demulsifiers PA05 with branched structure had weaker effect than BP01, while cationic reversed-phase demulsifiers HY01 had little effect in centrifugal force field. © 2016, Science Press.
