摘要
This study aims to investigate the effect of maleic acid doping on structural, optical, mechanical and piezoelectric properties of lithium sulphate monohydrate oxalate (LSO) single crystal. Pure LSO and maleic acid-doped LSO (M-LSO) semi-organic single crystals were grown by controlled slow evaporation technique at 40 +/- 1 degrees C. The HRXRD study showed that of both crystals belongs to the triclinic crystal system. The functional groups present in LSO and M-LSO materials were identified by Raman spectroscopy. The results showed an enhancement in the optical, mechanical and piezoelectric properties of LSO as a result of maleic acid doping. Therefore, M-LSO can be a better candidate as compared to LSO and many similar crystals for optical, electronic and piezoelectric devices.
