摘要
In this study, the leaching process of spent cathode carbon(SCC) with NaOH sub-molten salt was studied, the reaction mechanism of the main components of SCC was explored and the leaching kinetics of aluminum-containing substances were analyzed. The results show that the optimal process conditions for leaching SCC with NaOH sub-molten salt are as follows: NaOH mass fraction of 50%, temperature of 215 ℃, reaction time of 225 min, stirring rate of 700 r/min and oxygen partial pressure of 1 MPa. Under these conditions, the carbon purity of the leached slag reaches 96.1%, and the Al leaching rate is 91.32%. Some Ca-containing phases in SCC generate Ca(OH)2 and NaCaHSiO4 in the sub-molten salt, which adhere to the surface of carbon particles and hinder the further dissolution of Al-containing and Ca-containing phases. The leaching process of Al-containing phase in SCC is controlled by internal diffusion, and the apparent activation energy is 16.77 kJ/mol. © 2025 Central South University. All rights reserved.
