摘要
A renewable energy-based microgrid can be used to provide clean energy to rural and/or remote locations lacking a firm connection to a traditional electrical distribution interconnection system. In this context, this paper presents the design of a microgrid with solar photovoltaic, diesel thermal, and battery-powered generation sources, aimed at improving the quality of electricity supply in a rural location. Simulation software is used to perform optimization and sensitivity studies for the design of its components, based on the analysis of technical and economic variables. The results obtained result in an optimized design that significantly improves the economic indicators of the local electricity supply system.
