摘要
This research aims to develop a method for the multidisciplinary design optimization of aircraft landing gear for the purposes of increasing the efficiency of the preliminary design process. The proposed method aims to complement existing landing gear multidisciplinary design optimization research by presenting a cross-coupled optimization between detailed kinematic design and rigid body structural analysis. Total mass minimization of all structural members is implemented using the OpenMDAO platform and consists of four primary subproblems solved simultaneously including kinematic analysis, structural static analysis, collision detection analysis, and structural member sizing optimization.
