Synthesis of Ag2CO3/Ag/Ag2S microrods for enhanced photocatalytic activity

摘要
Ag2CO3/Ag/Ag2S microrods (MRs) were successfully synthesized by in-situ anion exchange route between Ag2CO3/Ag MRs and Na2S aqueous solution. The morphology, microstructure, optical property and photocatalytic activity of the as-prepared photocatalysts were measured and analyzed. The results show that the as-synthesized Ag2CO3/Ag/Ag2S MRs displayed larger specific surface area than that of Ag2CO3/Ag MRs. Moreover, the Ag2CO3/Ag/Ag2S MRs showed wide absorption in the visible light region and superior photocurrent density in the photocurrent response under simulated sunlight radiation. Ag2CO3/Ag/Ag2S MRs with reaction time was 7 h by anion exchange process exhibited the highest photocatalytic activity among all photocatalysts. The relevant photocatalytic reaction mechanism of Ag2CO3/Ag/Ag2S MRs was proposed. In addition, the Ag2CO3/Ag/Ag2S MRs displayed good stability and recoverability.
