Although many of the geothermal fields in the world which are in meso-low temperature are located in the region where heat flow low and low geothermal gradients have, they have very developed in geothermal resources. The geothermal resources are the topic of much attention in recent years. Though the structure of geothermal fields are developed and can provide a good source of water supply, the sources of geothermy are still not very clear. In this paper, according to a large number of measured data of Liaodong area, using the laser with classification in nitrogen as a laser source, 960 density samples and 164 samples of radioactive rocks in Liaodong area were tested and analyzed for radioactive elements, illustrates the regularities of distribution of radioactive elements in Liaodong area for the first time. It can be seen that after the summarize and analyze the rate of heat production of radioactivity from rocks from high to low are granite, diorite, mica schist, leptite, quartzite and marble, analyze from the era, the radioactive heat production rate in Mesozoic rock is higher, lower in Proterozoic rock mass. The geothermal resources in Liaodong area are mainly from the heat product of radioactive elements. © 2014 CAFET-INNOVA TECHNICAL SOCIETY. All rights reserved.
