摘要:
The good electrical conductivity and excellent corrosion resistance of conductive polymer coatings are two important factors for protecting metallic bipolar plates of proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs). Here, GO/CNTs hybrid reinforced polypyrrole (PPY) coatings were prepared on 304 stainless steel (304SS) samples to protect them against corrosion in PEMFCs corrosive operating environments by a one-step electropolymerization. The microstructure, corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity of GO/CNTs hybrid reinforced PPY composite coatings were investigated. Electrochemical testing results demonstrated that the GO/CNTs/PPY coatings achieved optimal corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity when the GO/CNTs hybrid reinforcement with a low CNTs content. The polarized current density of 304SS covered with optimized GO/CNTs hybrid reinforced PPY composite coating was significantly reduced to 8.62 mu A/cm2, while the interfacial contact resistance was 130.5 m Omega cm2. The enhanced corrosion protection and good electrical conductivity of the GO/CNTs/PPY composite coating can be ascribed to the conductive network formed by the GO/CNTs hybrid reinforcement and the microscopic interaction between the carbon reinforcement and the polypyrrole.
