摘要
Codes of ethics reflect the core values of an organization; with the variety of data, staff, and contributors working with the DRI, its ethical code must be wide-ranging enough to reflect its diverse nature, but specific enough to effectively guide the reader to a morally sound conclusion in the face of an ethical problem. Reviewing the reasons for a code of ethics, the methods involved, the challenges, the expected outcomes, and organizational input, this article will relay the experience of writing a professional code of ethics for the Digital Repository of Ireland. © Joanne Carroll.
