摘要
Purpose of ReviewThis review aims to summarize recent advancements in the diagnosis, classification, and management of fracture-related infection (FRI). It addresses evolving definitions, microbiological insights, and consensus on antimicrobial duration, alongside innovative diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.Recent FindingsThe introduction of a standardized definition and classification system has enhanced diagnostic consistency for FRI. Recent studies have updated the spectrum of causative microorganisms in FRI, guiding appropriate antimicrobial therapy. Consensus have established optimal antimicrobial durations aligned with surgical strategies. Novel diagnostic tools and biofilm-disrupting technologies are under investigation to improve precision and patient-specific care.SummaryFRI remains a major challenge in orthopedic care, demanding precise diagnosis and tailored antimicrobial strategies. Recent advancements in classification, antimicrobial optimization, and diagnostic innovations are reshaping FRI management. Emerging technologies show potential for tailored treatment strategies, though they are not yet widely adopted in clinical practice.
