摘要
Reflective practice in English language teaching (ELT) has become a popular area of research worldwide, but its development across Asia is relatively less explored. Hence, this paper is based on a bibliometric analysis of research in reflective practice within ELT across Asia from 2013 to 2023. The study revealed considerable growth in research output, driven mainly by Iran, Indonesia, and Turkey. Highly cited works focus on the centrality of teacher development, inclusive education, and applications of reflective practice in ELT that are context-specific. Also, qualitative methods dominate though mixed methods are gaining traction. The field has grown to maturity, and the main publication platform is 'Reflective Practice'. These findings offer valuable insights for policymakers, educators, and practitioners, highlighting opportunities for cross-country collaboration and future research in Asian ELT reflective practice. The study underscores the need for level-specific reflective strategies, the integration of digital tools, and attention to underexamined areas. Future research may explore longitudinal impacts, comparative Asian cases, and the integration of technology in reflective ELT practices.
