摘要:
A novel compact wideband end-fire dual-polarized antenna designed for millimeter-wave applications is introduced in this paper. The antenna is fed by a substrate-integrated wideband orthomode transducer (OMT). Through strategic layering and slotting of the dielectric substrate, a dual-polarized substrate-integrated waveguide with excellent transmission performance is achieved. Additionally, a onefold symmetric wideband OMT is seamlessly integrated into the substrate, forming a compact antenna feed structure. This integrated OMT feeding method provides a simple and efficient means of realizing substrate-integrated wideband dual-polarized antennas. The antenna demonstrates outstanding performance, boasting a bandwidth of up to 42.6% (from 24 to 37 GHz), isolation exceeding 45 dB, and stable radiation characteristics. Its exceptional performance in the millimeter-wave frequency range makes it attractive for advanced millimeter-wave applications.
