摘要
The Smart City utilizes new information and communication technologies to provide, implement, and promote development strategies that address urban concerns and establish a coordinated, technologically enabled, and sustainable infrastructures. Environmental sustainability is a key indicator that impacts Smart cities advancements. Air quality monitoring and regulation are among the important environmental challenges that contemporary societies face. The World Health Organization stated in a March 2022 publication that air pollution causes the premature deaths of 13 people every minute. Thus, an air quality monitoring system is necessary for smart cities to assist the government in choosing the best course of actions to reduce pollution, as well as to make it easier for residents to avoid exposure to pollutants. Our PhD research aims to provide an intelligent system that deals with air quality monitoring in Smart City based on the Internet of Things [14], optimization algorithms, and deep learning algorithms. This paper reviews some relevant aspects and works related to the air quality field.
