摘要
This paper proposes a new rapid charging point for electric vehicles with modular push-pull converters (MPC) suitable to provide high power to the battery and intended for the connection to a medium voltage power supply, thanks to its capabilities of reducing the output voltage levels. The converter provides current and voltage regulation for the battery, depending on the state of charge, and high quality of the grid current. The operating principle of the proposed converter is discussed in this paper and validated by simulation results. The opportunities for charging at high C rates are also evaluated. The paper finally reports a comparison of the power loss between the MPC and a traditional 2-level H-bridge converter.
