摘要
The Ti-modified Cr12MoV steel was produced using a medium-frequency induction electric furnace under argon gas protection. The Ti impact upon the flowability, shrinkage, microstructure, as well as properties of the Cr12MoV steel was analyzed by employing an optical microscope, scanning electron microscope, pendulum impact testing machine, and electronic universal testing machine. The results demonstrate that with increasing Ti modifier content up to 0.5 wt.%, the flowability of Cr12MoV steel increases, while its shrinkage decreases. Furthermore, the morphology and distribution of eutectic carbides are further improved, and grain refinement is enhanced. Simultaneously, the tensile strength and the impact toughness of the steel are found to have been enhanced greatly with increasing Ti content.
