Determination of five alkylhydrazines by isotope-coded derivatization combined with ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry

摘要
Alkylhydrazines, extensively used in agricultural and military applications, pose notable environmental and health concerns due to their toxicity and potential accumulation in food chains. A novel isotope-coded derivatization (ICD) method was developed using 4-(N-methylphenanthroimidazolyl)-benzaldehyde as the reagent, enabling precise quantification of five alkylhydrazines in environmental and food matrices using ultra-high-performance liquid chromatographytandem mass spectrometry. The detection limits (0.008-0.033 mu g/L) were successfully improved with the derivatization method, and the relative standard deviations were < 3 %. The ICD reagent effectively eliminated matrix effects. Dimethylhydrazine was successfully detected in food samples within the range of 20.9-25.1 mu g/kg in fresh mushrooms.
