摘要
According to 'Marvin Minsky (1927-2016), one of the founding fathers of artificial intelligence, [...] artificial intelligence (AI) is not a science in itself, but several branches that have developed over the past six decades: speech or image recognition, machine learning and even games'[1]. Today, AI covers a wide range of fields, from computing to medicine, not forgetting architecture. In architecture, it is used to automate repetitive tasks and designs, generate floor plans and solve complex problems. In addition to these tasks, AI can also be used to enhance and conserve vernacular architecture. In this context, we will be presenting the 'Femmes et Artisanat en Media(tisa)tion' (FAM) project, which aims to promote and preserve traditional Amazigh weaving in southern Tunisia by creating a living museum using augmented reality. This raises many questions: How can AI help rehabilitate vernacular architecture? How does augmented reality contribute to the resurrection of an abandoned space?
