摘要
In summary, IAH/ACS is a complicated disease process with multiple etiologies. The ability to accurately diagnose and treat it in a timely fashion is paramount to improving outcomes. Using ultrasonography as a tool in the diagnosis and management of this disease offers a point of care technique to maximize patient care. More commonly documented techniques as described above include IVC diameter and renal artery indices; newer and less described methods include the diaphragm thickening rate and ultrasound guided tonometry. POCUS is a rapidly evolving field, and these bedside metrics can help diagnose IAH/ACS and improve patient care.
