Women's career development within the hospitality industry: A systematic literature review

摘要
The purpose of this study is to update and contribute to the understanding of existing literature on practices that help and hinder women's career development in the hospitality industry. Through a systematic literature review, this study reveals that the factors influencing women's career development can be divided into three themes: personal factors, organizational factors, and converged factors. This review provides an updated perspective on women's career development in the hospitality industry and identifies two notable gaps: most studies lack a sociocultural context for understanding work-life demands and exhibit inconsistent use of theoretical frameworks. Additionally, practical implications for hospitality organizations are discussed.
