The anterior cruciate ligament - clinical picture and therapy of the rupture

Many physiotherapists treat patients every day after a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament. The individual decision for the optimal therapy, especially in the case of complex injuries or high sporting demands, is often not easy, but can be supported by the GOTS indication score. Regardless of whether conservative or surgical treatment is required: comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, kinematics, clinical picture and risk factors relating to the ACL rupture is essential for optimal therapy.
