摘要
Golden buckwheat (Fagopyrum dibotrys) is a well-known edible herb with significant medicinal and economic values in China and other Asian countries. In May and June of 2022, an outbreak of leaf blight on F. dibotrys was observed in Weixi Lisu Autonomous County, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China. The infected plants exhibit symptoms like leaf necrosis and wilt with frequent leaf curling or distortion. Cladosporium-like strains were consistently isolated from the diseased leaf tissues. Based on morphological characteristics and multi-gene (ITS, tef1, and act) phylogenetic analyses, the fungi were identified as Cladosporium cladosporioides. Pathogenicity tests showed that the selected C. cladosporioides strain could infect F. dibotrys leaves using non-wound inoculation. This represents the first report that C. cladosporioides causes leaf blight on F. dibotrys in China and the world.
