摘要
Mobility management is crucial for maintaining a dependable and steady connection in mobile communication networks, particularly when users are on the move. Within Self-Organization Networks (SON), the Self-Optimization function introduces Mobility Robustness Optimization (MRO) as a solution. MRO in SON aims to enhance handover efficiency by optimizing Handover Control Parameters (HCPs), such as handover margin (HOM) and time-to-trigger (TTT). The increasing demand for high data rates has led to the widespread deployment of Small Base Stations (SBS) and Ultra Dense Networks (UDN) with Millimeter Wave (mmWave) technology, posing complex handover challenges. The paper investigates different HCP system settings for Beyond 5G (B5G) networks and analyzes their effects on performance indicators, such as handover probability (HOP) and handover ping-pong (HOPP). Result indicates using low HCP setting provide with high HOP and HOPP values. While high HCP setting gives low HOP and HOPP values. This shows each setting impacts the network performance.
