摘要
Metal Schiff base complexes garnered huge attention in the field of material and medicinal Chemistry and inspired many chemists and biochemist due to its diverse functionalities. Complexes of 4-4 oxydianiline as small molecule and as polymers having multiples properties, which includes catalytic, thermal, chemical, and they are on their built in anti-microbial properties. Typically 4,4-oxydianiline plays a key role in the structural matrix of metal complexes rest on Schiff base ligands as an anti-microbial agent, sensing material and inhibition of corrosion agent. Structure of the metal Schiff base complexes was confirmed by the utilization of various spectrometric techniques and anti-microbial activity was also determined. This review not only presents the importance of oxydianiline role in research field but also explains number of methods for its formation, characterization techniques, applications and combination of oxydianiline with d-block metals and the main objective of this article is to represent the key role of 4-4-oxydianiline in this developing era.
