摘要
Opendaylight (ODL)is an open-source platform that supports Software Defined Networking (SDN) for open and centralized monitoring of devices on a computer network. SDN is a centralized network architecture that makes the network more programmable and easy to manage by separating the control plane and the data plane. This paper focuses first on using ODL as an SDN controller,second using ODL and Mininet in harmony,and third the differences in the newer versions of ODL and possible workarounds particular to a)Layer 2 switching and b)Akka Configurations.With respect to the former, L2 switching emulation through Scapy, a packet manipulation tool is discussed. In terms of the latter i.e., Akka configurations, the remote TCP configuration is discussed.
