Design of an instrument to evaluate knowledge about biodiversity in students

摘要
Objective: To design an instrument to assess students' knowledge of biodiversity. Methods: Different contributions were consulted for the construction of the instrument. After its construction, it was reviewed by three experts for analysis of facie validity. The content validity was carried out by expert judgment. Finally, the instrument was applied to a pilot group of 30 higher education students. Results: The instrument consisted of three areas (personal, family and school) with a total of 17 items. The experts noted the relevance and belonging of the dimensions and items. The content validity of the items was demonstrated (Aiken's V>0.80; Lv>0.50). The pilot group showed a good degree of understanding of the items and the overall and dimension reliability was optimal (Cronbach's Alpha y McDonald's Omega>0.80). Conclusions: The instrument designed to assess students' knowledge of biodiversity has face and content validity.
