In 2015, the US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) conducted a benefit-harm assessment of routine iron supplementation and screening during pregnancy to counteract iron deficiency anemia. The results were of insufficient evidence. A. G. Cantor et al. have revisited these issues and presented their findings.
