摘要
The Institute of Journalism of the Inter-American Press Association (IA- PA-SIP), in collaboration with the Faculty of Communication and Information Technologies of Hemisferios University (Ecuador), conducted a longitudinal study (2022-2023) analyzing the digital transformation of Latin American media companies. A structured questionnaire was administered to a representative sample of 354 journalists, including owners, directors, editors, and reporters. The survey examined variables such as the number of journalists, content revenue, audience analysis tools, digitization needs, financing sources, closure expectations, payment alternatives, and training interests. A key finding was that approximately 21% of respondents expressed no interest in utilizing digital tools to engage with audiences, digital communities, tribes, or specific niches.
