The use of gamification in Vocational Education and Training as an innovation

摘要
Nowadays it is extremely important that methodologies that respond to the interests and needs of students, i.e. active methodologies, are applied in the classroom. One of these methodologies is gamification, which enables students to increase their motivation, to better understand and deepen their understanding of the content, and to improve participation in the classroom, among other aspects. Specifically, the aim of the study is to propose the use of gamification as an innovation in Vocational Training classrooms. To this end, different guidelines and actions are proposed based on the scientific literature reviewed and analysed. In this way, all the information is intended to improve the current teaching situation and offer an answer and solution to an existing problem: the low motivation of students and the decontextualisation of the contents taught, which leads to an increase in school dropout rates.
