摘要
PurposeThe concept of strategic intent is an important management tool that expresses the determination of organizations to achieve their long-term goals and reflects the willingness of the organization in this regard.Design/methodology/approachThe study is a reflection of a scale development process in order to make the concept of strategic intent, which is accepted as the beginning of strategic management and an important tool for strategic management, measurable. In the organization where the pilot application of the scale was carried out, 234 participants were included in the application.FindingsIt was concluded that the strategic intent scale, which was finalized with the pilot application, consisted of 24 questions and five dimensions in total and that it could successfully measure the concept of strategic intent. The revised scale was reapplied to 539 people working in an airport ground handling company, and the results were in line with those of the pilot study.Originality/valueAs far as is known, this study is the first attempt to measure strategic intent scale based on validity and reliability. This study aims to fill this gap in the literature.
