摘要
This study analyzes the positioning performance of smartphones using the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) in the Arctic region. It was found that the complex electromagnetic environment and unique climatic conditions in the Arctic impact the GNSS performance of smartphones, leading to frequent errors and satellite lock loss, affecting the accuracy of positioning results. By analyzing the GNSS raw measurements collected using an HONOR 50 smartphone near the NYAL station in the Svalbard Archipelago, this paper explores critical indicators such as the number of visible satellites, carrier-to-noise density ratio (C/N-0), and positioning accuracy. The results indicate that despite signal interruptions and clock biases, the GNSS signal quality received by smartphones in the Arctic region is sufficient to meet positioning requirements, providing valuable data support for polar scientific research and navigation applications.
