摘要
A new species, Lactifluus albiceratus from India, belonging to the Lactifluus volemus complex, is proposed. The combination of unique morphological features, scanning electron microscopy study, and molecular evidence confirms the novelty of this species and its intriguing placement within Lactifluus sect. Lactifluus. Found under Quercus leucotrichophora, this species is distinguished by its smooth, velvety, rugulose, yellowish-white to pale yellow pileus surface, which is yellowish-grey to golden grey in the centre and that turns brownish-yellow to golden yellow on exposure. A comprehensive description, illustrations, comparisons with morphologically closely related taxa and phylogenetic analysis results are presented here.
