摘要
Osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures (OVCFs) are common and debilitating conditions, particularly in the elderly population, and often result in pain, reduced mobility, and decreased quality of life. Percutaneous cementing procedures, like vertebroplasty, kyphoplasty, and vertebral body stenting, have emerged as minimally invasive therapeutic options for managing OVCFs. This narrative overview aims to explore the indications for use, the role of imaging in diagnosis and procedural guidance, and potential complications. Additionally, it aims to provide a comprehensive literature review on these techniques which helps in optimizing the management of OVCFs to enhance patient outcomes.
