摘要
This study examines the impact of tourism capital investment, green technology, renewable energy, and foreign direct investment on climate change in the Asia-Pacific region (1996-2021). Utilizing the STIRPAT model (Stochastic Impacts by Regression on Population, Affluence, and Technology) and Method of Moments Quantile Regression (MMQR), our findings reveal that tourism investment and green technology significantly reduce CO2 emissions, reinforcing their environmental benefits. Renewable energy consistently decreases emissions. Foreign direct investment contributes to emissions growth, particularly in industrial sectors. Economic expansion and population growth also exacerbate emissions. Strategies for policymakers on balancing economic growth and environmental sustainability are discussed.
